An evergreen succulent, forming a stiff rosette of blue-green leaves with a broad yellow stripe in the centre, sharp teeth along the edges and spines at the tip. Slow growing, but can reach up to 1.2m high at maturity. Mature plants may produce a tall spike of yellow-green flowers, after which the central rosette dies off, to be replaced by new offsets produced at the base

照顧指南
Grow under glass in cactus compost, water freely when in growth, but keep almost dry over winter. Apply a dilute, liquid fertiliser 3 or 4 times during the growing season. Can be moved to a sunny spot outdoors in summer, but needs to overwinter in a greenhouse or conservatory. In very hot summers, may benefit from light afternoon shade to prevent scorching.
