An upright, compact deciduous shrub or small tree with feathery, lobed leaves. Leaves are dark green changing to bronze green flushed with pink in the spring, then red in the autumn. Flowers appearing in the spring are inconspicuous and are followed by winged, red seed pods in the summer.

照顧指南
Grow in a moist but well-drained soil. Water in summer if necessary. Leaf colour is best in partial shade, although full sun can be tolerated. Leaf scorch can be caused by lack of soil moisture or excessive exposure. See Japanese maple cultivation
