A large, bushy shrub, or small spreading tree, with a rounded head to around 6m tall and wide. The large, 7-lobed green leaves, up to 15cm across, turn brilliant orange and yellow in autumn. Small red flowers borne in clusters in spring are followed by red fruits

照顧指南
Grow in a moist but well-drained soil. Water in summer if necessary. Leaf colour is best in partial shade, although full sun can be tolerated. Leaf scorch can be caused by lack of soil moisture or excessive exposure. See Japanese maple cultivation
